2008-August 2009A man struggles to maintain his relationship with a demanding partner. A copyeditor learns the heavenly host are at war and humans must fend for themselves. Residents of Purgatory try to decide if Judas deserves punishment or redemption. And a teenage boy uses deception to push the boundaries of intimacy and trust online. These four stories made up Forum's 2008-09 season at H Street Playhouse. Man. The Devil. December 2007-August 2008 For our fourth season, Forum Theatre focused on the many permutations of virtue, humanity, and sin. We selected three shows with intertwining themes of personal responsibility, redemption, and the corruption of the individual or society. December 2007 Antigone by Jean Anouilh Directed by Michael Dove April 2008 DC PREMIERE The Last Days of Judas Iscariot by Stephen Adly Guirgis Directed by John Vreeke July 2008 Marat/Sade by Peter Weiss Directed by Michael Dove with original music by Jesse Terrill Season 3: Modern Myths October 2006-July 2007 For our third season, Forum Theatre selected a collection of contemporary fables, parables, and fairy tales that fit perfectly with the company's experimental and visual style. Forum also coproduced the DC Beckett Centenary festival, celebrating the work of one of the company's favorite playwrights.
